**When Should My Baby First See a Pediatrician?**
Franklin Park Pediatrics is located in Toledo, OH, and our pediatricians serve the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan area.
The first check-up should typically occur 2 to 7 days after your baby is born. Following this, preventative well-visits are recommended at these ages:
* 1 month
* 2 months
* 4 months
* 6 months
* 9 months
* 1 year
* 15 months
* 18 months
* 2 years
* 2 -1/2 years
* 3 years
* 4 years
* Then annually
In your baby's first year, you’ll notice many changes each month. During well-baby visits, our pediatricians will monitor their growth and development and address any questions you have about feeding, sleep, and immunizations.
**Same Day Sick Visits**
We do our best to accommodate appointments for sick children on the same day you call. When you contact us to schedule, please provide details about your concerns so we can prioritize the appointment appropriately. Please note that all visits are by appointment only, and we do not accept walk-ins.**Patient Portal**
Our patient portal allows you to view immunization records and growth charts, request prescription refills and sports forms, and send messages to a nurse with any questions. Please call our office, and we can assist you with registration. You can reach our office at 419-475-5433 (KIDD).**Hours of Operation**
Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.Our phones are off daily for lunch from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

01/15/2026: **We are excited to share some wonderful news with you. Franklin Park Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Abigail Buck, CPNP (Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) to our healthcare team. 10/7/2025: **We would like to congratulate Dr. Murtagh on her retirement at the end of this year. Her contributions to Franklin Park Pediatrics and the medical community have been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for her dedication and expertise. While we will truly miss her presence, we are excited for her as she embarks on this new chapter.
We wish her all the best in this next stage of her life. 5/20/2025: **We would like to welcome Child First Therapy and Evaluations - Psychologist Angela Capuano, Ph.D., BCBA-D.** 10/2/2024: After 30 years at Franklin Park Pediatrics, Dr. Marianne Black has decided to continue her medical practice at Compassion Health Toledo, 1055 Dorr Street, starting October 1st 2024. She is joining a community medical health center that needs a pediatrician. Her new position will offer a more flexible schedule that will allow her more time with family. Dr. Black has been an integral part of Franklin Park Pediatrics since its very beginning. She will be dearly missed, and we all feel lucky to have worked with her over the years. We wish her well in her new venture!
As a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she is specially trained to diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, manage chronic conditions, provide preventive care, and support healthy growth and development from infancy through adolescence.
Abigail will be seeing patients for well-child visits, sick visits, and follow-up care, helping us expand appointment availability and continue to provide timely, attentive care for your family. She works closely with our physicians and staff to ensure a seamless, team-based approach to your child’s health.
We are confident that Abigail’s knowledge, warmth, and dedication will make her a wonderful addition to our practice, and we look forward to introducing her to you and your children.

We understand that some of our patients have expressed concerns, hearing rumors that Dr. Haidar and Dr. Al-Ayoubi are contemplating retirement. Neither they nor Drs McBride and Dr. Shamy have plans to retire anytime soon and are very much looking forward to continuing to serve the community. **
